The Story Behind The Transformation
Originally designed as a four-bedroom family home, MacFarlane Road presented an opportunity to rethink the potential of an existing residential property within a well-established West London neighbourhood.
The project focused on creating a more efficient and valuable use of space through a carefully considered transformation strategy, combining HMO conversion, loft conversion, and rear and side extensions while maintaining a strong connection with the property’s original character and surroundings.
ATCO guided the project through every stage of the process, from initial design concepts and planning approvals to technical coordination, interior design development, Building Control requirements, Party Wall agreements, and construction delivery.
Through a balance of strategic planning and detailed execution, the existing dwelling was transformed into a more functional and valuable residential asset, demonstrating ATCO’s approach to unlocking hidden potential within existing properties while responding thoughtfully to planning, regulatory, and design considerations.
