For architects operating today, the Golden Ratio is no longer the standard - rather, the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals are. From a single elegant equation, architects are now held to multidimensional success criteria with almost infinite variables. Since sustainability is inherently a question of complex systems, circular design, and holistic thinking, no single person holds the solution.
BIG has grown organically over the last two decades from a founder, to a family, to a force of 700. Our latest transformation is the BIG LEAP: Bjarke Ingels Group of Landscape, Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Products. A plethora of in-house perspectives allows us to see what none of us would be able to see on our own.

We are a company experiencing steady growth and, as we grow, we also strive to mature. Over the past 15 years as a group, we have developed from being 10 to 750 people in the organization in Dubai.
As our office in Barcelona is growing at a rapid pace and we have a pipeline of interesting projects, we are looking for Senior Architects with +10 years’ experience.
Join us on our mission, if you are a Senior Architect who has:
- Strong conceptual, design and graphic skills.
- Experience with technical detailing, construction documentation & construction administration.
- Ability to resolve technical and design challenges through innovative thinking.
- Knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods.
- Exposure to management and coordination of project stakeholders, local authorities and approving bodies, and sub-consultants.
- Ability to develop design options in collaboration with the design team.
- Ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the project.
- Should have strong ability with Rhino, Revit, Vray and Adobe Suite.
- Strong organizational skills.
- The ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative in response to direction from managers.
- Great interpersonal communication skills.
- A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working.
Required skills and experience:
- Professional qualification as an Architect or an equivalent overseas qualification.
- + 10 years post qualification experience as an Architect.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Spanish - spoken and written.
